If you are in the mood for Christmas ideas, do not hesitate….

Come visit the Goderich CoOp Gallery, and soon. The Christmas elves at the Gallery have been busy, and their latest productions are all on display. There are so many gift ideas, not just for that special someone on your list, but what about a little something for yourself?

Perhaps you would love a hand sewn, jewel-encrusted tree ornament, by Diane Smith?

Or…how about a smart little necklace featuring Lake Huron Beach Glass. And, if you had a yen for one of the recycled driftwood trees featured last spring, from Green Goderich…..well, they are back, and just picture one decked out in festive twinkle lights.

Dont forget, the New Year is fast approaching, and what better way to keep track of your important dates, than with a very special calendar, featuring close-up photos of area wildlife. You will be amazed at these original photographs, all taken right around home, by local photographer Terry Saxby. Each month features a different local scene.

For that special someone on your list who needs a smart handbag, we have a new array of felted wool bags, in gorgeous colours. The bags are all one of a kind, each one made by hand, by member Diane Smith. These felted wool bags are light weight, look very chic, and  all use recycled materials.

At the GCG you will find pottery, hand woven baskets, jewelry, stained glass, exquisite hand sewn pieces, original hooked wool tableware and rugs, colourful encaustic pieces, jewellery, art photography and paintings in oil, wax, pastel, and watercolour, all made by member artists.

In addition, to all the Christmas artisans, don’t forget to check out the display of photography by The Bayfield Photography Club, our Feature Guest Artists.

Our annual Silent Auction features work by member artists on the Members Feature Wall, awaiting your bids. There are bargains to be had! The Silent Auction will close at the end of the day, on December 15th.

Gallery Member Artists are also putting together a special Christmas Basket draw, the winning ticket to be drawn at the same time as the Silent Auction, at the close of business, December 15th, at 4 p.m.

The GCG will be open for the Annual Ladies Night out, and the visiting ladies are encouraged to enter a draw for a gift basket curated with gifts to,appeal to “the ladies” which will be drawn at the end of the evening, November 25th.

The GCG is also open for the special “no tax Sunday” on December 5th. We look forward to helping you to find something special, for a special someone, during this festive season.
