Stephanie Scholten
Stephanie Scholten is a lifelong visual artist who grew up in Kincardine and now resides in Goderich. She finds her bearings along the shores of Lake Huron which also supplies the inspiration for her paintings. Sketching from life, landscape, figure, and still life sustained the artistic drive until Steph retired from her career as a Secondary School teacher.
She now has the time to paint using watercolour, gouache, oil and acrylics. Sketching and painting the human form from life is also a passion she can now pursue. She has to admit that she is always willing to try new styles and media to try new styles and media to find her niche, but likely won’t settle into any one form of artistic expression anytime soon.
